Autism Coach

Karli started with the A+ project in January 2022 after working for four years in a special education self-contained classroom in Bloomington, Illinois. Karli brings over 15 years of experience working with individuals with ASD ranging from two years old into adulthood. Prior to moving to Bloomington, Illinois, Karli earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University while living in Memphis, TN. She worked in many different settings including the classroom as a Pre-K self-contained teacher, a Behavior Therapist in the homes and clinic setting. Karli grew up in Saskatchewan, Canada where she obtained her undergraduate degree in teaching and then went on to work for the Autism Resource Center. This opportunity allowed her to work solely with autistic individuals. She was the director of summer camps for children 5-12 years of age as well as Director of cooking programs, social skills groups, and trained adults to become prepared for the workforce using the PAES Lab (Practical Assessment Exploration System).
