Our Team

Melanie Ernst joined the Autism Professional Learning and Universal supports project as the Assistant Director in January 2022. Prior to joining the project, Melanie taught in a K-2 self-contained special education classroom for 17 years, working with students of all skill levels and abilities. She enjoys working with individuals with disabilities within the classroom as well as outside of the classroom as a Special Olympics coach. As a lifelong learner, Melanie received her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Wayne State University in Nebraska then continued her education by receiving her board-certified behavior analysis (BCBA) certification.
