This module presents information about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), from basic knowledge to an in-depth look at the characteristics of autism. The learning outcomes for this module include:

Describing characteristics of students who have autism
Specifically, information will be presented about characteristics including social communication, communication and language, thinking and learning, and restrictive and repetitive behaviors. Finally, participants will apply the information presented in the module to students with whom they work.
