DESCRIPTION
Daily communication notes are used to share important information between home and school.
WHEN TO USE
Communication notes can be used daily or weekly, depending on the learner's and their family's needs, and are very helpful when the learner cannot share about their day. These notes should be used when important information needs to be shared and to celebrate learner successes.
HOW TO USE
1. At the beginning of the year, discuss daily communication notes with the learner's family, and decide what information is important to share and how often this information will be shared.
2. Create a daily communication note to meet your needs.
3. Decide when the communication notes will be filled out and set aside some time in the day to complete them.
4. Put the communication note in a designated folder that the learner transports back and forth from home to school in their backpack.
*Some communication forms are explicitly created for the learner to fill out, modify the communication note to meet the learner's needs.
