DESCRIPTION

Green and red choices are used to describe behaviors. Green choices are positive, desired behaviors whereas red choices are undesired behaviors.

 

WHEN TO USE

This visual can be used during a class discussion, small groups, or one-on-one learning, showing the students different behaviors and where they are categorized. It can also be placed on the wall in the calming area to remind of appropriate behaviors and as a self-reflection tool.

 

HOW TO USE

1. Print off a color copy of this visual.
2. Explain to learners that behaviors are categorized into colors: green and red.
3. Green choices are appropriate and acceptable, whereas red behaviors are inappropriate and not kind.
4. Students must learn how to regulate their bodies and make green choices.
5. Use the second and third pages as an activity. Have students cut/paste the behaviors into the appropriate color.
